John R. DuMerer

John R. DuMerer - Owner/General Manager/Heavy Equipment Specialist
John has over 30 years industry experience and is a graduate of Vail Tech auto, property and heavy equipment courses. For the past 15 years he has specialized in full adjustment of ordinary and complex heavy equipment claims for tractors, trailers, cranes, off-road equipment and cargo. He is approved by Associates of Dallas and assigned their registered adjuster number 218. He is also approved by and assigned Harco Insurance Company #122. John is regarded by many as one of the top heavy equipment adjusters in Illinois, if not in the country.

Richard M. Nazimek - Insurance Professional, Office Manager
Richard's primary responsibility is to oversee our office work. He has spent a long time in the insurance industry, after first serving in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1955. In 1958 he started at America Fore Insurance Company as an All-Lines Adjuster. Richard then became a supervising Adjuster for Home Insurance Company, and then from 1984 to 1986 was a department head responsible for 26 employees. Richard's credentials include Washburn Trade School, Salvage School, America Fore Group Insurance and Fidelity & Casualty Adjusting Schools, along with the Chicago Insurance Institute.

John Hoth - Vice President, Liability and Complex Cases
With over 30 years experience in the insurance industry doing multi-line adjustments and management, we are proud to add John Hoth as our Vice President of liability. John's adjusting experience includes 16 years at American States and eight years at Fireman's Fund and Hartford, where he handled complex cases and litigation files. John has the background needed to aid us in the most difficult liability cases as they develop. At one time, John managed two American States offices and dealt with litigation files as they developed all over the country. We are proud to have John on our staff.

Jim Stull - Senior Liability Adjuster
We are proud and honored that Jim Stull, with his 30-plus years in the business, has agreed to work for us as a Liability Adjuster. Jim recently retired after running his own company for approximately 25 years. After a couple years of retirement, he found that he missed the insurance industry. We are fortunate that Jim, who had his choice of companies to work for, has selected ours. I know many people reading this have heard of Stull Appraisal Service.

Jim was the Claims Manager for Indiana Insurance Company for many years. He then started his own company and achieved a high degree of success, which included liability work for up to 50 different companies. Jim was a tough taskmaster when he ran his own company, and has promised to be as tough on himself now as he was on his Adjusters. No detail escapes Jim Stull, and his reputation in the industry precedes him. You will know, if Jim is working on your liability claim, that it will be done correctly.

Mike Boyle - Senior Liability Adjuster
After obtaining his bachelors degree, Mike worked for Aetna Life & Casualty from 1965 to 1976 doing all lines of casualty claims, including workmans' comp. He then joined Raymond Bandringa, as a Staff Adjuster. Later, he became a partial owner, and eventually President of the new company that arose from Bandringa -- Adjusting Services, Inc.

Adjusting Services, Inc. recently decided to split up, and we were fortunate to have Mike, whom I worked with years ago at Aetna Life & Casualty, join our firm, bringing with him the accounts he was already working. Mike makes a good fit with our company. Since we do heavy equipment work, his transportation adjusting experience fits in nicely.

John Pettineo - Heavy Equipment Specialist
John has 34 years as an adjustor with the last 13 in heavy equipment at General Accident Insurance Co. John has I-Car Credentials and can do a complete adjustment on autos, heavy equipment and off-road equipment. He opened his own body shop in June of 1973 and then sold it in December of 1979. He then went to work for an Independent Adjusting Co. where he learned how to adjust Heavy Equipment losses. He completed the I-Car classes, Crawfords Heavy Equipment class, and General Accident Ins. Co. Heavy Equipment class. John handles Chicago and the north suburbs.

John Borgia - Heavy Equipment Specialist
John has a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University and has been operating heavy equipment since he was old enough to do so. After graduation, John did a short stretch as a pro-football player. Unfortunately, John was injured, so he gave up football for his second love, heavy equipment. With John's college background and his heavy equipment expertise, it was a natural thing for John to gravitate to the heavy equipment appraisal business. After first obtaining a job at a local auto appraisal company, where he was given an opportunity to develop his appraising skills, he moved into the heavy equipment department, where he spent seven years, before joining our company approximately 2½ years ago. John has developed quite a reputation on the street as being a very astute and fair minded Heavy Equipment Adjuster. Not only is he fast, he is accurate and good. After 2½ years, I can vouch for the fact that we have very few, if any, problems with John’s work. John has been approved by such companies as St. Paul Insurance Company, AIG and others. John handles Chicago, the south suburbs and Indiana. He is also well versed in off-the-road equipment. We look forward to John and his experience working with us for a very long time.

Donald K. MacCabee - Field Supervisor
Don has over 25 years experience in personal and commercial auto and property. He was formerly a claim supervisor; Allstate Insurance Company, Material Damage Supervisor; Crawford and Company, and Senior Field Claim Rep; Ohio Casualty Group. He is a top material damage expert who is known for meticulous high quality work. Don covers the far west suburbs and the Fox Valley area and oversees complex assignments in all our territories. Don has trained with Tech-Cor in auto and building appraisal, I-Car, and in Mitchell Matix and CCC EZ-Est systems. Don also handles pleasure boat claims.

Tom Connolly - Property Adjuster and Inland Marine Specialist, Commercial & Residential Property Claims
Tom has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Loyola University and holds the AIC and AMIM designations from the Insurance Institute of America. He started his career in 1973 and worked for several well known insurance companies until 1989 when he joined our firm. Tom's experience includes investigation of commercial and residential property claims, inland marine, cargo and loss of business income, to name a few. We are proud to have Tom's expertise available to us.

Stan Burek - Auto Appraiser
Stan is a former shop owner and dealership body shop manager with 25-plus years experience. Stan worked on the line as a body man, and eventually became the shop foreman at Grossinger Pontiac. He brings many years of auto appraising to our company. Stan works on the Pathway appraisal system and does digital photos. He is a next day Auto Appraiser. If we get a claim today, it is an 80-90% possibility that it will be seen the next day. We are happy to have Stan Burek as a member of our organization, and look forward to many years of continued relationship.
